... or miserly, penny-pinching, stingy, thrifty, a tight-wad, Spartan, parsimonious, prudent, closefisted, curmudgeonly, frugal or practical - no matter how you cut it I don't like spending money. So this blog will let you in on my various "do-it-yourselfer" projects, no matter how they come out. Some fall into the crafts arena, & some are related to keeping my house from falling down around my ears, but it is what it is - hope you enjoy it!

Old Projects: Fun with Beads and Buttons
So anyone even remotely close to my age will remember turning old jeans into maxi-skirts - so even though it was decades after the 70's, I thought "Why not?"
The fun part was trying to fix the giant hole in the thigh - so I patched it with matching fabric from the gore in the skirt, and then completely covered it in beads and buttons
After all that work I only wore it once - I'm just too old to be a hippy-chick :-)
